While I still finish up the big preschool post (with lots of verbiage), here's a relatively commentary-free pictorial retrospective of some of our weekend travels this past month:
Weekend at Steve, Sarah and Nina's in NYC:
Frolicking at Hippo Park, Riverside Park:
I was really proud of Hallie for climbing up the play structure on her own (as opposed to crawling up it, which is what she used to do all the time. All that practice on the stairs is really paying off and it helped immensely to have two rails, one on either side, for Hallie to grasp onto). You can see how low trunk tone really affects Hallie's posture in these shots, though, which is reason 19,000,043 that we have her in hippotherapy.
Here Hallie is swinging alongside Nina, who is exactly (to the day) a year older than Lea. Her daddy, my friend Steve, is pushing Nina:
Petting Friday (their long-haired Chihuahua):
Swimming with the cousins (Hannah and Adam) at their pool:
Lea Swimming:
Swinging with the cousins in their backyard:
Lea swinging:
Taking a bath with the cousins (one of Hallie's FAVORITE things to do):
This past weekend, all three of the kids clamored up the stairs in a hurry when we announced that they were taking a post-pool bubble bath together. Sadly, no pictures this time, just three squeaky-clean and elated cousins. We can't wait for Lea to join them in the fun!
